Real advice, logistics, and personal growth on the road.

About me

Daniel Hannah Nomadic traveler

I’m Daniel, I’ve been traveling full-time since 2016. To me, travel isn’t just ‘something you do’, it’s a lifestyle, a philosophy, a bridge into deep personal growth. Now, I want to help you use travel as an avenue for self-transformation, while, of course, enjoying the process

More Than a Travel Blog

Travel blogs can be handy, but they’re often missing the meat. You’ll know the 10 best hotels in Istanbul, but won’t know how to actually travel as a backpacker, or why you should in the first place.

This is a major fault with the Travel industry. Glorified, poetic, but missing any real substance that forms the backbone of travel.

The reality of travel, especially extended solo travel is not all sunshine and rainbows, but it’s immensely rewarding if you do it right. That is to use travel as an avenue to reconstruct your life, your identity, and your values, because it truly has such a huge potential to be a catalyst that transforms your life inside and out!

That’s why I decided to create Holistic Traveler. Having been traveling full-time since 2016, living in 9 countries and having had countless adventures and experiences, I see travel not as a vacation, but as a pathway to self-discovery.

Holistic Traveler is all about anchoring travel in reality instead of glorifying it, exploring all the nuts and bolts that make it possible, and using it as an avenue for personal and spiritual growth.

Holistic Traveler is a website for people who:

Learn to travel solo, and become someone new in the process

Most people who want to travel never go. Not because they can’t, but because they don’t know how to start, and the fear of doing it wrong keeps them caught in the same routine, the same system, the same box.

But you don’t actually need a lot of money to travel, as long as you’re not looking for a vacation, but a lifestyle. And that lifestyle is more accessible than you think, you just need to know how to construct it.

This is why I’m working on a course, to lay out everything you need to know about extended solo travel, to become the sort of person you need to be to make it happen, and to use it as an avenue to genuinely transform your life.

This is the course I wish existed when I left ten years ago. It’s not a list of packing tips or destinations, but a full-framework of everything I’ve learned about actually building a life around long-term solo travel.
