In the Sierra, you will see birds like condors, eagles, and hawks flying majestically overhead. Then you have the Amazon which is filled with exotic bird species, as with the coast and hotspots such as the Galapagos Islands.

For 4 days we were dropped in the jungle by Rebecca. And the greatest experience ever! When they say dropped it is true, in the Amazone you are in the middle of nowhere. My family and I really enjoyed our time at the Tucan Lodge in Cuyabeno. The guides for the lodge were knowledgeable. The rooms are simple but comfortable, with private bathrooms, porches, and hot water. The food was a highlight - it was fresh and flavorful with unique local dishes. There were a lot of activities that provided a good sense of the communities in the area and lots of opportunities to view an astounding amount of wildlife (monkeys, caiman, dolphins, spiders, snakes, bats, ants, birds...it really is a bit overwhelming!). Come ready for a muddy adventure (its a rainforest!). We highly recommend and would stay here again. - Jason
